The lovely beach at Kirkjubol is well suited for outdoorsmen, especially for those with children. It is both diverse and relatively safe, and everyone is welcome there for a walk along the beach.
In the coves one can find driftwood, shells, and numerous birds. Black guillemots lay their eggs at Næstatangi, and seals sometimes lie on sand bars out beyond the promontories. On the peninsula between Brimvík and Hvalvík is the rocky headland Stekkjarhöfði. There visitors can find the ruins of a stone wall around the night meadow as well as the remains of sheep cots and an old sheep fold.
